GX Racers Gyro Cars

The GX Racers are going to be a huge hit for the 2009 Christmas Season. These are new cars and they have a gyro in the middle that spins fast enough that these cars can go a scale 600mph. Don't worry though, these cars are only 1/64th scale. That means they are actually only moving about 10mph so they won't be flying around the house like bullets.

They have several different styles of Gyros that can be changed out. They are designed to do different things such as stunts, racing, or off road. You can spin up the Gyro using a rip chord or they have launchers that you can use. The rip chord kind of reminds me of the motorcycles I use to get when I was a kid.

There are several different accessories out for it already. Some of them are Ramps like the GX Racer Super Jump where your car will go soaring through the air. There is also the Tight Rope Terror. Using the Gyro and the launcher that comes with this toy you can actually make the cars drive down a string. There are a few others as well such as the Side Winder Track and some smaller jumps.

These are going to be a big hit with boys who like fast and like cars. Just so happens that those are two of the things that boys like best. (You don't really ever get over that, just the size of the cars that you are playing with keeps getting bigger.)

While I don't think that the GX racer stuff will completely sell out this Christmas it may get difficult to find certain cars and the nicer tracks like the Super Jump. I would not wait too late to buy or you may have to settle for one of the less popular toys.
